Back to the Beach

Hi together
A week holiday is over and I’m back in Fort William right next to the highest mountains and the deepest lochs.
But first just a few more picks I want to show you from my time in Norway.
My week in Bournemouth was quite nice besides all the rain we had there. But at least I got 2 sunny days which were really really windy. During the weekend a big air show was with different kind of aircrafts like a F-16 jet, double-decker or helicopter. Unfortunately most of it was cancelled due to the rain. I didn’t care as I work inside of a hotel during the show anyway and wouldn’t have seen anything. I could here but not see it.
On my other days off I went to zip wire Tree Park called GoApe, had lots of pizza, went to the beach and had a windsurfing course. This is great fun. Certainly something I like to do again. Yes and Bournemouth in the south of England is a lovely place with miles of fine sandy beaches and lots of sea and other great things.
Right now I'm sitting in Hamburg in a McDonalds and enjoy free Internet...wow Germany, about time. Will go to Flensburg today and celebrate Gerrits wedding tomorrow. I'm looking forward to coming back to my Uni City, for the wedding and ofcourse to get one of the best Döner ever. If you are ever in Germany, eat Döner. It sounds Turkish but German and nowhere as good as here.
Catch ya later

And here we go, back at blogging
Long time but it was so exciting at all last few weeks. When I’m at work I work, when I’m off I’m usually found in my bed as the weather rarely gets dry and above 10 degrees.
What am I doing at my job? Usually I start at 10 am. First we have to feed the puppies of which we have 5 born in January and 6 born in June. Next step is to pick up all the shit produced by the dogs. Sounds shit but is just a thing we have to do and also it is the perfect time to be with the dogs without feeling guilty that one just cuddles with the dogs.
Afterwards we have to prepare the food and that is a lot. We need 30 20 litre buckets full with soaked dry food and defrosted raw meet (wale, cow, chicken, fish). This smells awful. I probably lost the ability to smell properly. So it is a lot to carry. When we are just 2 people working we need about 1 hour to feed all the 270 dogs. Then we have to clean and tidy as well as to bring new meet to defrost for the next day. It follows a 30 minute break around 2 am.
In the afternoon the work we have to do varies. Either one does all the jobs at the yard, mean, shit again, repairs or whatsoever or is guiding people visiting from cruise ships around the centre. We show them a little movie about one of the toughest dog sledding race in the world, the Iditarod race, the a dog tea with the positions and how a sled works. Afterwards is time to cuddle all 270 dogs and puppies. Last is a little natural walk when we explain things about the area, plants and animals around here. The finish is tea, coffee and cake before the people leave again. After tiding up the work is done for the day.
Adding to this I guide kayak trips during the day or in midnight sun. As long the weather is alright this is great. I had to battle already quite a few high waves, but brought everybody home nice and alive so far.
What else?
Last week I went walking at night time. Left at 5 pm and was back around 5 am. Only problem was that I had to work at 9 again, haha.
Also Adidas Gold was here to shoot some clips for a thing they do in the moment. I'm in one of the clips, check it out at 1:25.
Catch you later
